Every mistake is unique

One way to look at mistakes is to categories them into different types. Some errors represent bigger learning opportunities than others. That might be because the stakes are higher, but often it’s because the consequences are greater.

Mistakes are not all created equal, and they are not always desirable. Some of them have positive effect, some are negative.

Some mistakes happened simply because we don't pay enough attention, some happened due to an unexpected chance. We should look at mistakes differently, so we can reflect on our errors and extract lessons from them.

.......not all mistakes are made equal...

Dropping your pizza on your neighbor's cat.

Poking yourself in the eye with a banana.

Running out of beer at a party because you didn't anticipate the number of guests.

Regularly arriving late to work

Going bankrupt at your start-up company because of your complete

   ignorance of basic accounting.

Making tough and challenge decisions that may have bad results.

Unpleasant or unsatisfying outcomes to important things.

Mistakes are all so personal. Better understanding of mistakes help us to learn from them.

We can learn most only from our own mistakes. In addition, learning from mistakes is not all automatic. When mistakes happens, we should understand them and explore the reasons behind each mistake, in this way we can learn from our mistakes and prevent it from happening in the future.

It is well to cultivate a friendly feeling towards error, to treat it as a companion inseparable from our lives, as something having a purpose which it truly has.”
